THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE:

“My work with Marina over the last three years has changed me so much. I feel it in the security and lightness of the way I walk and relate to the ground under my feet, the balance in my torso, the arch of my spine, the lift in my chest, the relaxation in my shoulders, the ease with which I carry myself.  Marina is a careful and attentive observer, a gifted communicator, patient, positive and wise. This is great work and she is a great teacher!”

– Bonnie Engdahl, Ph.D., Research Psychoanalyst

“It was amazing how little of a change could change so much in my life-starting with a feeling of ease, leading to a fuller and freer voice and the ability to express myself emotionally.”

-Olaf Nollmeyer, Actor, Singer, Author

“In just one session with Marina, I found an expanded sense of space and volume inside my torso… a new physical knowledge that I took into my yoga practice, my daily movement, and my thoughts.”

-L.H., Artist

“After spending three full days shoveling snow, my upper back went into spasm, and I couldn’t lift my head or turn it side to side. I was completely locked. It felt like the vertebrae in my neck were bulging. Very painful and completely immobilizing. In one 30-minutes session with Marina, she was able to relieve 85% of my pain and restore full mobility to my neck. She also gave me several self-care exercises to do at home, and in the days following my session, the rest of the discomfort went away. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am. It truly felt like a miracle. I have had back and neck pain before and seen chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and I have never experienced such fast results. It’s truly rare to find someone who can so effectively combine an array os modalities to address a variety of physical issues. Thank you Marina. So glad you are in Pine Mountain Club.”

PILATES:

“My experience with Pilates over the years has proven to be very helpful strengthening my body before and after my surgeries. I started doing Pilates after my first hip replacement in 1994. I had a revision surgery on that same hip in 2015. My doctor wanted me to do physical therapy to strengthen my body. I had a knee replacement in 2016. Once again more exercise to strengthen my body for recovery. I’m thankful to Marina for bringing Pilates to PMC. I’m so pleased with the overall strength my body has gained from doing Pilates for the last two years. Being stronger has made it easier to perform my livelihood.
