Welcome To Pine Mountain Pilates

Holistic Wellness Studio & Spa

Pine Mountain Pilates is an oasis where you can come and deepen your connection to your body through movement in order to experience greater freedom, strength and well-being.

I always wanted to teach in a peaceful space that would allow me to work with people in a more focused, serene and effective way--after years in crowded, noisy studios that were not conducive to letting people connect to their own bodies.

Pine Mountain Pilates is a serene space located in Pine Mountain Club, in the heart of Los Padres National Forest, where you can feel safe to work at a deeper level, where no one else is watching or judging, where self-awareness is encouraged over self-consciousness, so that you can experience change at a deeper level.

All sessions are customized to your needs and can blend a variety of modalities to create an optimal combination of strength, fluidity and alignment.

Pilates

Pilates exercises strengthen the core, create alignment, improve flexibility, and strengthen and lengthen the entire musculoskeletal system. Practicing Pilates increases focus, body awareness, and connection to the breath, resulting in a more balanced nervous system. Pilates can be practiced by people of all ages, body types, and physical abilities.

Gyrotonic Method

The Gyrotonic Method is an original, holistic movement system that balances the nervous system, increases range of motion, and improves strength and functional movement. Gyrotonic exercises can be performed by anyone from athletes to senior citizens to those recovering from injuries.

Alexander Technique

If you suffer from chronic pain, arthritis, back pain, asthma, neck pain or postural discomfort, the Alexander Technique is just what you need. Through guided, gentle movements, you will learn how to become aware of harmful postural habits, how to soothe your own nervous system, release muscle tension, and align your own body. After Alexander Technique sessions you will experience pain free, light and effortless movement, and life can be enjoyed at its fullest.

Ballet Barre

Using the basic elements of ballet as a starting point, ballet barre sessions combine stretching with basic ballet figures such as plié, tendu, frappé, ronde de jamb, and grand battement set to classical music. Elements from Pilates, yoga, and other modalities can be incorporated for a more fitness-centered experience.

Yoga & Meditation

Yoga, or more precisely hatha yoga, is a series of poses, or asanas, that develop flexibility, balance, endurance, and inner stillness. In addition to supporting physical well-being, yoga is an ideal foundation for a meditation practice.

Meditation is an ancient practice of the mind that combines posture, breath, and focus to create inner stillness and peace. Meditation is a perfect antidote to the stress of modern life and an ideal way to connect more deeply to the beauty of nature.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an ancient holistic system of medicine and well-being that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It encompasses a comprehensive approach to health, focusing on the balance of mind, body, and spirit. Ayurveda recognizes each individual as unique, with their own constitution or dosha, and seeks to promote health by restoring harmony within these energies. Through personalized lifestyle modifications, dietary guidelines, herbal remedies, and various therapies, Ayurveda aims to prevent illness, alleviate imbalances, and enhance overall physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
